UP Police’ lies exposed

The Hathras victim was gang-raped and attacked on September 14 in her village. The case was initially registered by the Chandpa police in Hathras on a complaint from the Victim’s brother. The Victim in her statement on September 22 alleged that she was gang-raped and assaulted by Sandeep, Ravi, Luv Kush and Rahul. Samples were sent to the laboratory on September 25.

She died in hospital on September 29 due to the injuries inflicted by accused persons. The victim’s body was hurriedly cremated by the police at the wee hours of September 30 even without allowing her family members.

On October 1, Uttar Pradesh’s Additional DGP Prashant Kumar said the forensic report from government laboratory in Agra confirmed that the victim was not raped. After a big uproar all over India, the UP government had recommended for CBI probe in the case on October 2.

CBI now confirmed that the gang-rape and assault were real and charged the same persons whom she accused in her death deposition.
